Did the Colmore Cup for cars, and to a lesser extent for motorbikes, have anything to do with the Colmore Depot dealerships? My NA came from the Colmore Depot in Liverpool, so I was just curious.
Lew. The Colmore Trials (in their final form the Colmore Trophy Trial for cars and the Colmore Cup Trial for motorcycles) were organised by the Sutton Coldfield and North Birmingham Automobile Club and I think it is almost certain that they were sponsored by the Colmore Depot who were major motor traders in that area.
