I have added the image type ending in .png (which I believe is the format that a Mac uses) to the "attach a photo to your post" system.
Would someone who uses a Mac please reply to this topic simply with an image from a Mac to see if it works.
I will delete this topic once I know an image from a Mac can be added.

It’s very useful being able to use png images as it saves converting iPad screenshots to jpeg.

I have discovered the problem. Apple uses a new format for storing pictures, higher quality images that take up less storage space. The only problem with it is it is not compatible with any other format. However, if you do not take thousands of pictures with your iPad then you can change to the jpeg format quite easily.
Open "Settings"
Navigate to "Camera > Formats"
Select "Most compatible".
I would be interested to know if this works.

But please keep the png option, Nick, as iPad screenshots are in that format and it’s useful to be able to upload a screenshot as I did above.

I will keep the .png format, it would have been included when I first set up the images in posts feature if it had existed back then. I am pleased it is useful.
