Hello,
Is there a right/wrong place for the perfecta badge on the windscreen. My car (L2023) has a single little hole on the front but before i take the screen apart to change the bottom rail. I would like to know what is the opinion about the “right” position.
Kind regards Halbe

But does it go on the outside or the inside. That is the question. Ian Thomson |

This cropped from a photo taken in 1935. No sign of a badge on the outside of the screen.

So its seems not to be so straight forward with the badge either on the inside or outside. Reading through all the replies and the thread from Peters reply it seems that most were on the inside but to be absolutely sure about my windscreen I will take the botom rail out and see how it fits the best, not looking at the little hole, then put the badge on. Thank you all for your help !!

Halbe:
Look at it this way: if you were the manufacturer, where would you put it? You have to be rather close to read that little badge, and you'd want it to be clean and legible to those who might care, even with the screen folded flat.

A J2 and a PA plus a very old unrestored windscreen from a J2 and my vote goes for "Inside"

Unrestored JY 2022 - screw holes in bracket align better for "inside" matched to outside was more finish worn than inside.

The Perfecta badge on my F2 early windscreen is on the outside and has been for the 60 years I have had the car. |
