Signed.

But if its name does have to change, why not "The Triple-M" or "The Midget, Magna, Magnette"?

Or "The Magic Midget" as I thought was originally?

'The Magna' could be very offensive to tall people embarrassed about their height.

"The Vertically Challenged" might be a good alternative but then again this might be offensive to hill walkers and mountaineers.

Very sad that an historical landmark named after a car is being targeted in this way. The lady who launched the petition clearly hasn't done any research, claiming the brewery can rename the pub 'Austin Healy' or 'Riley'. As somebody who lives in Worcester, where Worcestershire Sauce is still (for now) produced, it would be like naming a pub 'The Branston Pickle'. I will add that as far as I know there is no pub named 'The Worcestershire Sauce' in or near the city. :-D

We have been here before with M&S renaming Midget Gems

Midget has an historical now pejorative meaning identifying people of limited stature displayed in a circus for a spectacle. It is not the only meaning of the word but it indisputably is one.

No man is an island and every MG has a context!

I am not offering any view on the Abingdon public matter.
