I have had good service from:
Reco-Prop Unit 4 Newtown Trading Estate Chase Street LUTON Beds LU1 3QZ Tel: 01582 412110 www.reco-prop.com
They made me a new propshaft for a P-type, having given them the flange to flange distance.

Can these recommendations be posted on the Suppliers listing? If we mention good service from a particular company within a 'how to do it' reply then surely it's worth adding them to the Suppliers Page. It's the only way this valuable directory will be expanded. |

From the other thread about balancing propshafts, I can highly recommend a company in St Neots in Cambridgshire called Bailey Morris who will manufacture a propshaft in 24 hours - I have had them make new ones for Austin 7's. They are surprisingly cheap. The web address is www.baileymorris.co.uk

Do the manufacturers of the propshafts that you all mention fabricate the complete assembly, as from the gearbox flange to the rear dif. flange? Does the finished product have six bolt pattern circular flanges to bolt directly to the gear box and rear dif. flanges?
A number of years ago I had to use four bolt pattern flanges at each end of the new propshaft and have transition pieces machined to bolt to the six bolt pattern flanges.
