The much advertised race meeting at Zandvoort happened a couple of weekends ago. Normally after a race meeting the forum gets a report of how wonderful everything was and how enjoyable , but for this meeting nothing, not even one photograph . Did something go wrong ? Did it even happen ?
How wonderful of you to ask! And a little birdy told me you raised a pint to us so thanks for helping in spirit. I think we had a fantastic event (in part helped by the weather) 27 cars on Saturday and wonderful battles all the way along the field with James Painter deciding it in MG’s favour ahead of a seriously rapid Christian Pedersen in his Austin. Followed by an wonderful social evening with an Indonesian diner for all arranged by Cat and Thijs Sunday’s race got all the spectators on the stands to view the 25 cars (only technical DNF’s) where this time the Austins won it with Pedersen beating Mike Painter, in this race Thijs and I where sliding around each other all race really making my day.
Discussions are already ongoing to see if we can get this nicely matched group to do a yearly continental event. You will be updated.
Just like to offer my sincere thanks to Onno and his Dutch friends for organising such a splendid event……and looking after the MMM visitors so well. I particularly enjoyed the rolling starts !!!
Well said all. Yes it was brilliant. Not been on the forum for a while, Sorry i can’t easily post photos on here. Without one by one and they are all upside down!!
