This picture shows a standard factory crank (for M & J etc) beside a 1930's Laystall example. The Laystall is also for bearings of standard dimensions.

Purely for the hell of it, there is an article in Safety Fast, November 1961, by Richard Purdie on how to make one of these yourself!
