I was chuffed by the response to my last post on a similar subject so thought I would try again.
The photo below shows Castleton-Knight driving his almost new J3 in the MCC London ? Edinburgh Trial held in June 1933. Unfortunately the glass plate is missing from the LAT archives so I can?t get a better copy of the image to read the registration. The last record of Castleton-Knight competing in a J3 is in the April 1934 MCC Abingdon Trial.
Castleton-Knight was thought to have owned J3763 but this turns out not to be the case, does anyone know which car he was driving?
Hi, According to Cowbourne, in the 1933 Edinburgh L.Castleton-Knight was no.33 in the 847cc J3 but retired! However, there was an L. C. Knight in the 1933 Lands End and the 1933 Colmore both in a Magna, and a C. Knight in the 1932 Gloucester also in a Magna. Don't know if this helps, but may help trace him. Cheers.
