I have today booked a single room at the Ship hotel for the night of the annual dinner. The cost, they assure me, will be £68 not the £65 quoted in the news item. Not significant, I agree, but thought it worth a comment.
I have just spoken to Elizabeth (Taylor) and she assures me that the contract she signed quotes a room rate of, £65.00 B&B single occupancy and £75.00 B&B double occupancy.
I have asked Elizabeth to take the matter up with the hotel tomorrow.
Elizabeth has just told me that she spoke to the Ship Hotel today and they confirmed that our advertised rates of £65 and £75 are correct. The hotel has acknowledged that they made an error with Peter’s and Keith’s bookings and have confirmed that any other bookings already made and all future bookings will be charged at the correct rate.
