Is anyone planning to go to Angouleme next month for the races? My son is racing his TA special (if it's ready!), but it would be nice to meet up with any MMM'ers who are going or taking part. See you there, Paul.
I love Angouleme but will be giving it a miss this time. Each year they charge you a bit more money and give you a little bit less. Angouleme is another place were I have had my K-type stolen but it did not put me off. Great atmosphere and exciting racing. A couple of friends are going in a Merc SL roadster (a gull wing without a roof if you know what I mean) say hello if you see them.
Eric Thank you for posting the pictures. That is my Twin Cam parked next to the K. Both cars are in separate police pounds at the moment! A reminder of happy times.
Ah yes. Parked in the Hotel de Ville. The French joy rider got five years (he had some previous). If they even bother to catch any of the current lot I wonder what they will get? A suspended sentence at worst I expect. I wonder if there is anyone else out there who fancies a drive in the K-Type.
I just came across a copy of the start of the Triple-M race. 1992 I think. I am not sure that I actually won it but the French decided to give me the trophy anyway!
