I have noticed in some photographs of our cars, L2's for example, there is a foot- rest in the passenger side. Was this standard or an extra? If any member has such an item in their car would they please be kinder enough to furnish details of size, shape and any other details which would help me make on for my L2.

In the technical section of Document Downloads is a pattern for a footrest for a P-type. This should give you enough of a start on one. Although I can't speak for an L-type, I know the J-type used one, and the bodies are very similar.

Drolshagen,

Many thanks for the detailed information this should enable me to make a suitable footrest.
As not all cars had one i assume they were an extra.

Nameless otherwise known as John.

Hi John
A quick look in the Parts List confirms that the tourer had a pasenger footrest, but it is not mentioned for the two-seater. As J2 had them I have assume that it was fitted to the L2 as well.
Good Luck
