Have just been reading Fred Truemans autobiography. In it is this little quote "I splashed out on my first car. I had spotted one advertised, a little 1932 MG with a fabric covered body and a bumble bee backside for £75." Fred bought it after knocking £2 off the asking price. Interestingly, at the time not only didn't Fred have a licence he couldn't drive!!! He quickly had lessons from a mate in the RAF. The date was 1953. So if you have an M and you have the old log book - have a look for a previous owner "F Trueman" or "F.S. Trueman" This could add several pounds to the value of the car - having had a famous previous owner. For those not in the know, or a cricket fan [and there can't be many] Freddie Trueman was, in his day England and Yorkshires foremost fast bowler - at one time holding the world record for wickets taken. Fred was living in Maltby in South Yorkshire at the time. Must delve into my records just to check that it is not MY car that he owned.
