The auction with QA252 was in a Christies auction in 1996 is what i meant, the Aston was up for an estimate of £25-£30k,the selling price was £89.5k !!!
It appears that this French site has a few problems and should be viewed with care. I will not be looking at it again. Sorry guys, but in my innocence I believe that everyone is as honest as I am. I still live in the era when rare cars turned up in barns and I am reminded of the day when I was out walking and spotted a Mark 1 E-type in a private garage, and by the evening I had purchased the same for a hundred pounds. Oh for the 1960's again. Ralph
Colin, I had not noticed initially that the topic went on to a second page. I posted a response on what this Aston originally sold for at the Christies auction, only to then see that on page 2 the point had already been answered.
The MMM Forum website does not allow the post to be removed for some unusual reason and so the best I could do to remove my post was to replace with a full which is the closest I could get to a delete!!!!!!!
