Looking through the March 1934 edition of the MG Magazine, P329 references the fact that some of the Rally cars had Philco Transitone car radios fitted allowing them to receive information from their respective teams.

This is, therefore a bit of a long shot, but does anyone know the model number(s) of the Transitone radios fitted? also where in the car it was likely placed?
I have a period Transitone of late 30's vintage but would like to know the model type as it may be too late a model as the range of radios seemed to change on a 6 monthly basis!
