There's now a second log book on Ebay for an MG J2 J2 603 reg RD 4012. Perhaps he has a stash of them and should be contacted direct by the Register Ralph
I wonder if the new owner of the log book will attempt to claim the reg number. I know that you need the car and it has to be roadworthy (MoT?) but I've also heard of a number of cases of number plate theft (not literally).
& the J2 sheet sold for the best part of £70, not even the complete log book. One does wonder why, for a car of which there is currently no recorded history since the war (this sheet is in fact the only currently known post factory record). A pint of beer says it "appears" as a basket case/box of bits "project" in due course. Call me a cynic.......

3 litre Bentley owner, honest! (40th birthday present - currently rebuilding from an oil filler cap)
MG3111 is now on a Peugeot 208 so unless the the original MG and this one are brought together in agreement with the respective owners the " log book" is of little value if any in claiming a registration.
It will be a slow but possibly safe bet that an 'original' chassis miraculously turns up some time in the future! Otherwise, why would anyone pay this for a continuation logbook????
