I have a picture of this car , Reg No. CPE 670 cut from a magazine or from a calendar some years ago. Whilst the registration no. & chassis number are listed in the Triple M Register 2012 there is no listing where owners are shown. Our registrar will have further information I'm sure. It is described, on my picture, as a trials special & believed to have a blown K3 engine of 1087ccs. |

Maybe there is a confusion between 754 and 745 ? Photo below was in a car newspaper some years ago. Gerhard

The car is listed in the 2013 Rgister as belonging to Gerhard Huber in Germany. The engine number is shown as 1011AN which might well be its correct original block, and the car is described as "2 str. special, s/c, Evans trials type body". Be interested to know whether the engine size is 1087cc which might suggest that it has been sleeved or stroked down to this size which in turn could imply a bit of racing history.
By coincidence perhaps, it is only two chassis numbers away from Ian Baxter's offset single seater N which was definitely a genuine Evans (Wilkie Wilkinson) creation.
Just noticed Gerhard (Maier's) posting re NA0745. I wonder whether the newspaper article has quoted the incorrect chassis number The car in the photograph carries an MMM badge, but there is no trace of NA0745 being listed in any of the previous MMM Registers, going back as far as 1986.

The car comes with FIVA ID Card and is described as A3, that means original and restored. I don't think the body is original. Christian |

The body is not original to the chassis.

At the same exhibition in Basel in 2009 was also shown the car below which was described as one of the three Evans Trials cars. It has nearly the same body as NA 0754 and could be NA 0643. Christian

Re. my earlier posting I obviously got chassis numbers mixed . Colin is correct in saying it is listed. I must have been looking at NA 0745 as Gerhard suggested. Apoligies. |
