I need a strong Diff for a J2, to take a supercharger. Must be in good condition. Options seem many, but good advice received is:
1. Morris 8 has the heavier duty CW&P but is 2 star.
2. P type is 4 star but not as strong CW&P.
3. An early Y type diff is the best of the lot, good ratio, heavy CW&P and taper roller bearings. Must bethe early one which takes the MMM splines
4. Early Wolseley udrf an 8/43 4 star diff too. it must be a steel and not ali case one
A long shot, but can anyone help?! Tristan

Hi Tristan
I have a diff, dismantled, that looks in good condition.
I've had it 40 years as a possible spare.
I think it is Morris 10 or maybe Morris 8.
From memory it is 7/37 two star.
I will check tomorrow and send you some photos off line.
Regards
Rod
