My J2 is currently stripped down to a naked chassis. The chassis and possibly the front axle are out of true. I know of Russ Trueman 'up North', but is there any one who fellow MMMer's could recommend closer to the Wiltshire area. Many thanks for your help. Bob |

I used Roach Manufacturing, off Whitemoor Rd, Ower, Romsey, Hants, SO51 6 AJ; phone 02380814287. They staightened the L2 chassis and welded up various holes in it some of which I had to re-drill!

very highly regarded in the Austin 7 world. Have a look at some of their handiwork on their web site...

I cannot recommend Roach Manufacturing highly enough - speedy and accurate , and what's more the price is right . For the front axle I would give Barry Foster a call . He did mine on the J2 and the F , and the J2 seems to handle very well . |

Roach Manufacturing. They also fit excellent chassis castings, supplied by Vintage MG Parts!

Findger trouble..... Bob, There is a small engineering firm in Bath that straightend my chassis back in 1977 after J2396 had an argument with a council bench (long story). They are still in business, so drop me a line if you want further info.
JH
And Donald Day (just up the road from you) did the front axle and a couple of others. |
