I live in Italy where I cannot get my M type registered until it complies with Italian norms in order to pass its mechanical test. This includes mounting stop lights and flashing direction indicators. Does anyone know where I can obtain such accessories?

The rear pork pie lights and the front parking lights can be converted to accept an addition flashing indicating LED lamp, see the web sites, Vintage Car Accessories and http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/. for more information.

Willie McKenzie does a nice little indicator system found on this page..

Though, as Keith suggests, I have wired up my M to have indicators in the front sidelights and have used these from SVC

at the rear...

So many dynamos

My thanks to all those who responded to my plea. Jorgen Poulsen put me in touch with Vintage Supplies Ltd ("The Complete Automobilist" on the web) which will, I hope, provide what I need.

Diccon, before going for a Lucas 'pork pie' it might be worth looking at the light below. It is of the same period as the M-type and I opted for it because I thought it looked good and it was cheaper better quality and all stainless steel.. On my car these are stop, tail and indicator lights. Apparently these can now be purchased with LED fittings.

The type was originally fitted to a Model A but I think it looks OK on an M-type.

Thank you, Sam, for the additional tip. Vintage Supplies are providing most of what I want including rear clusters of stop lights and winkers which look equally period. They have a very nice solution for the front (a double bulb holder which goes into the side lights) but, alas, only 12V. So I have followed Orstin's advice and ordered front flasher units from McKenzie and now have to work out how to attach them neatly. My idea is to fabricate circlips to mount them on the badge bar.

Now, does anyone know where I can find suitable circlips for them and for some of my badges?

Diccon,

An alternative for the front is to use the double filament bulb holder in the side light and fit 6V LED bulbs that give white side lights and amber flashers. See here for example http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/combined-side-and-indicator-bulbs-shop.php

And for the badge bar clips I seem to recall that Dick Morbey linked to these recently at the Complete Automobilist. Try here http://www.completeautomobilist.com/categories/complete-automobilist-badges

I have gone the Dynamo & Regulator Conversions route with the LED combined side and indicator as above, and with the pork pie unit that combines side, stop and indicator lights. They also supply the flasher unit!
My question is where in the loom does one tap into in order to find the power to run it all, please?
