Hi Graham I made my own - not too difficult but requires a couple of simple to make tools, one to fold the section and the other to bend the section to go round the firewall. Let me know if you are interested in the details Nick
Graham, I have a set of these aluminium sections that I made many years ago and never fitted. If you want to contact me on my home E-mail I can tell you all about them. ronaldwgrant@aol.com I will not be home untill after 21/7/2006 Ron
Nick, re fixings for firewall alum seal sections. Mine at strip had 4BA slotted round head set screws + nuts & washers (photo 1), but I believe the original fixings where 1/8" round headed alumnium rivets (photo 2) - whichever you use make sure they're long enough, particularly if you've made up a new firewall as modern thicknesses of the plywood interlayer will give a different overall thickness to original.
Bruce, your photos help me as I have virtually nothing of an original firewall left. Are the side panels to the footwells original or a PO's modification to keep draught off his feet?
