M type oil filler cap-please can anyone help as I lost mine driving the bumpy roads of the Loire while down for the Grand Prix de Puy de Notre Dame. Thanks,

Hi Alan. I know it's too late for this one, but....
Since I lost a my J2 oil cap, I've held the new (precious, original) one on with a ring of rubber cut from an inner tube.

take it you mean the one on the side of the block?? If so which size the large or small one?? Oliver

Pretty sure I have a nice original M type one in the garage somewhere. Let me know if you're still looking for one and I'll dig it out.
