| I have been researching putting a J2 motor in my J2 (currently fitted with a PA).Have located one,unknown condition but with a new phoenix crank,no overhead gear,and comes with gearbox. Anybody help me with approx. value ? Thanks Allan. |

| Thanks everyone for having a look at this,I realise its a bit like,how long is a piece of string ! after a very helpful call from another Aussie I feel much more conversant with what I'm looking at. |

No lack of enthusiasm, Alan, just the impossibility of knowing Australian preferences from a considerable distance.
Working on the premise that nothing stops an Englishman from poking his nose into others' affairs, I would say that you grit your teeth and pay the asking price; your J2 will be a better-balanced and more original car with a J2 engine and, should you decide to sell, there will be an avid market for the PA engine.
You can't lose.
