The yellow M type on the front of the grid is owned by Bob ?. His firm sent him to South Africa in about 1973, he said OK as long as they sent the car out as well. He then entered Vintage racing at Kylami and found it a bit disconcerting being in with Ford Galaxis,old MustaNGS ETC. I lost touch with him after that.

Nick, I think you mean Bob Twydell, he is alive and well in Ontario, just north of Toronto. And yes, the M Type is still with Bob, though maybe not quite alive and well, YET. However, I have visited and the M type, after some encouragement from myself, has been uncovered and hopefully will be on the road is 2015?? Bob, Canada

Is this the M-type I saw with a great big hole in the crankcase after the race?
