Happy New Year MMMers
This was my way of shaking off that hangover.

Like greeting from the left side of the pond. I don't think any of my MGs will emerge today. It may not get above zero Fahrenheit and 66 inches of snow on the ground.

PA0743 made it to the Phoenix gathering at Hartley Wintney where we were joined by George and Jo Ward and Tim Beckh, all in proper cars. Some of us went on the the Leather Bottle at nearby Mattingley where other Triple-M cars were in evidence as well as many Triple-M chums!

Best wishes to all for a wonderful New Year.

Glad to see George and Jo Ward's PA is looking in as fine a fettle as usual.

Oh, and I meant to say 6 inches, not 66.

Wish I had gone there, we opted for Brooklands, it was chaos and as someone said elsewhere the ratio of vintage/PVT cars to postwar cars was about 50/1200. Shan't go there again,
1st February for the VSCC New Year driving test will be worth a visit if you're not competing.

Yes, I did in my PA. There were at least 2 other PA's and a supercharged PB which is a regular there. Also a (I think??) a C type that was there last year as well. And a T type. However my VSCC group were rather keen on the pub, so I didn't really get a chance to look around. Probably we will go to Abthorpe next year for a change as Stony is getting too much like a 'car show (yawn)' for my taste.

Barny you are dead right, I have stopped going to The Phoenix, Hartley Wintney and after this year won't be going to Brooklands again, well not on New Year's Day. As I said in my above post, just too many moderns and grey porridge.

John,
You could try The Stag at Balls Cross. See my first post.
Not too far from you. A nice number, about 30 cars , mainly vintage.
3rd Wednesdays, lunchtime in the winter evenings in summer
