... has anyone designed or made a boss extension for the top end of the Adamant steering column?

I need to extend mine by a few inches to give enough fingers space away from the dash.

A friend has a Hornet sports with just this feature which must have been from new. I never saw it removed but it appeared to be solid steel, nickel plated and the same diameter as the column tube. I think it was about 4" long.

Just in case anyone else was following this subject so you know that following discussions with Bob and two other MMM friends ... a new extended boss is under-development that will provide sufficient gap between my knuckles and the dash and dash-lamps on my F2
