Fred Body told me some time ago when I first tried to find the owner that he had sold this car and according to Ian Ross's website it is now in Australia. Congrats to the new owner...

I have the original engine, 1478AF. It might go into my Stiles, or I might sell it but first I would like to be sure that the current owner does not want it back. I understand the car has an N engine so this is unlikely but I wouldn't like to stop a reunion if the owner wished it.

Hi Peter,

We have F 1178 on the register but not F 1187 (although my copy is a bit out of date). Is that what you meant? If the former, then I know the current owner and would be happy to contact them.

Sorry chaps, nasty attack of dyslexia. It is F1187 but it is not in Oz, it is here...

Just have to hope the owner picks up on this post.

Peter is that the F type that Fred sold about 5 years ago?
If so I know where it went but he has now got an Alvis, I'll see if I can find out to whom he sold it.
