Right, one of the debates opened up on the weekend was all about the good old days. The Legends getting quicker and quicker as the years go on.

In-fact looking at my records Dad managed a 1:04 lap in the PB special in 1979. That's far too quick. I know the car was electric and on tiny fat tyres but even so..

Charles's quickest lap on Sunday was 1:08.

Has the circuit changed? Is this suspect laptime true?

PS: Someone tell the handicapper it wasn't Dad out there, it was me in a different car !!!!

Probably down to the reprofiling of Graham Hill Bend, which was tightened in the late 1990s. This actually shortened the circuit by about ten metres, but made the bend tighter.
