For anyone visiting Chris Glover, his house and workshop is next to the Hogs Back service station, not behind it as Google maps suggests. I visited him last week and can vouch for his workmanship and advice.

Andy, it will be some time before I get the point of getting a screen made, I have just restored the stripped chassis of J2353 which is the early J2 that I need the screen for, I have the later screen for J4129 which is currently with S & V to be restored. The original windscreen for J2353 is missing although I have some vacuum wiper motors ( from the lockup ).

Chris,
When you say "an early windscreen with the vacuum fittings" do you mean the type without the strengthened side supports that are screwed to the frame itself? If so, they have different supports mounted to the body. Jeremy Hawke posted a picture of the offside one on this thread - http://www.triple-mregister.org/forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=6172&SearchTerms=J2,windscreen
There is no chassis change point for the strengthened side supports but they would seem to have come on stream around February 1933, so much later than your car.

Thanks Simon, I will have a look at the supports when I get home to the UK, I know that I have two sets, but have not as yet identified which is which. Your information is very helpful thanks. Chris

I have too been speaking to Cris at Brasscraft and have been having great fun in making plywood template for my Magna, the kit of bits i took from my brother came with a frame which is quite a lot narrower than the Magna anyone have an idea what car it is from please.

David
Does this one open at the bottom, ie hinge at the top?
If so bits of it might suit my Stiles. The sides look as if they suit the P type bottom hinge which is also the Stiles arrangement...
Cheers

I'm pretty certain this is a P-type. I don't think it's hinged Peter.
