Having bought a J1 salonette 5 months ago - out of the blue this morning I get an email that the MG I waived goodbye to in 1969 to a new owner a USAF serviceman in Lossiemouth a 1949 MGTC has just been found following the demise of its owner.
It is in Maryland USA was put in a garage in 1976 as a good condition car and never came out from that day to this now of course after the passage of 40 years looking rather sad. But now in the hands of an MG specialist in Maine hopefully it will get restored to new condition again - rather nice to know it still exists and I have photos of it now and as I had it .
You have to wonder worldwide just how many triple M cars have similar stories and are unknown to all the registers and clubs - probably hundreds ? Of all the triple M cars built how many are known to still exist at present I wonder. There may well be some rarities yet to be discovered any day.
