Stolen from VSCC forum, entry list from 1937 syston park event. Being run again next year. But look at how many MGs were present...so challenge is, can we identify cars?
Davies-Cooke will be a TA,R.D.Poore will be J4002,Beaumont-Thorn and Hobson i'm not sure about.Several other MG drivers in there including Kenneth Evans and M.Edmondson and is J.H.Webb the same who later drove the Turner and the Parnell K3??
B A Hobson was running J2478 at the time of the Syston Park event. He got a 3rd Class Award in the 1936 Torquay Rally, and ran in the 1937 RAC Hastings Rally - but no award. He also entered the 1938 CSMA Curtis Bennett Rally. Interesting to note that he was running with a 750cc crank at Syston. Unless he entered his 847cc J2 in the 750cc Class. You know how competitive these Oxford chaps could be !
