On Sunday I met an interesting guy called Roy, who would like to know if his "old J2 is still on the road".
The details of which are as follows:
J2765 Registration Number. XJ 5266
Roy owned the car from 1972 - 1975, during this time I am given to understand he rebuilt the car.
I have Roy's phone number which I will pass on to the present owner.
He has a few photos of the car which he is willing to share.

Is Mr. G. Bennett a Triple M member? Is this the latest information the club has? (21 years old ).
Roy had told me he had "returned the car to cable brakes" during the rebuild.

Mr Bennett does not appear to subscribe to this forum, and I have no contact details for him, so the latest date for the info we have quite possibly 21 years old - I have no indication of anything more recent. The Club does not automatically inform the Register of changes of status, cars or members, its up to you!

A DVLA search shows that the car is not currently licensed and hasn't been since July 1998.

It was a runner in 94/95 because points were claimed for COTY.

I will let Roy (a previous owner) know the information we have.
Should I try to obtain Roy's photos from the early 1970s, for our club records?
Let's hope it's asleep in a garage or barn, maybe even enjoying a sunny climate abroad.
