Hi All, Years ago I aquired this MG Car Club "Equipe competition" car badge and until now I have not been able to find out the exact provenance of this car badge. Maybe someone in this fraternity could shed some more light on this subject ? Thanks for your interest. Roby

Passing thought...
looks like an MGA steering wheel in the design, maybe they know something about it... |

No Peter; MGA wheel has four spokes in a strange arrangement such that, if you hold the wheel at "quarter to three", a spoke intersects the rim immediately above and immediately below your hands.
Cheers,

Hi Francesco, Peter and Dave, Many thanks for your reply's, the steering wheel on the badge is presumedly MG/TD, MG/TF or MG/Y type but because of the considerable knowledge on THIS forum I did ask the question anyway, you'll never know what might turn up ! Cheers, Roby

It is a possible match for TD and TF. Interesting that there appears to be a serial number at the top. What is your number please Francesco?

The three screw holes appear to possibly match the steering wheel on MG TA-TB-TC. Certainly not TD-TF-MGA. Bob, Canada

I would have thought the screw holes are simply placed to complement the design. Are you thinking this actually goes ON the steering wheel Bob?

I was simply saying the badge holes appeared to match a TC steering wheel as others had referenced TD/TF or MGA steering wheels. The badge would not fit TD/TF,MGA steering wheels. Bob, Canada

I referred to TD and TF steering wheels because of the design 'on' the badge itself which appears to show a 12 spoke wheel like that used on the TD and TF.

Sorry, I didn't notice the serial number at the top. On my badge the number is 3. |
