We have been contacted by Peter Watts whose father, James Edgar Watts had a Triple-M car in the late WW2 years. He was a Flight Lieutenant with Coastal Command based at Bircham Newton in Norfolk (not far from Kings Lynn) and it's possible that the picture below was taken near there.
The car looks to be a J2 with modified brakes and larger headlamps (of limited utility in the blackout?!) but the reg number cannot be discerned from this, the only picture that exists of the car. Alas, James Edgar Watts' name does not appear on the Register as a former owner.
Are there sufficient clues here to enable identification of the car?
