Here is a photo of what I think is M Type Fear Not. The photo was taken in 1941 and the driver is Sgt Alan Smith who flew as wing man (Red 2) to Douglas Bader in the Tangmere Wing. The motto on the car "Fear Not" seems very appropriate and well deserved. Alan Smith, who later became Sir Alan Smith CBE, DFC, DL recalled that the car died of old age and 100 octane fuel. It is a great shame that the registration number cannot be seen.
