I'm not even sure if this is an MG but this picture was among a number of other pictures of MGs racing in Ulster in the 30s so it seems likely to be one.
Any ideas anyone?

Not identical but fairly close- the Riley Ulster Imp is what springs to mind to me with the aeroscreen mount etc

Eddie Hall , K3006. Though number 15 ties up with Shelsley Walsh entries in 34 and 35. But the background doesn't look like SW to me , so could be NI like you say. More research needed! Possibly Craigantlet 25/8/34 which was after SW where it was number 15 |

Thanks, guys, I knew I could rely on you. When I look at the picture again, it looks as though it has twin rear wheels. Is there any information on what number Hall was at Craigantlet in 1935 as many of the other photos amongst which this one was found are from the County Down Trophy race of 1935.
Many thanks
Simon J J3437 P.S. Karl, you could add Hall's competition number at Craigantlet to the listing for K3006 in the Hawke History |

The fact that Robert Mitchum is having a good look could be another clue . Perhaps a scene from a never-released 40s film noir.
