Does anyone have any information about JR4345? A friend showed me this photo yesterday - his father apparently collected him and his mother from the maternity hospital in it (at least 65 years ago) in the middle of winter! Sorry about the poor photo.

It is in the current Register. PB0558 owned by Charles Landells. MMM number 1042. Some trials history in 1936.

The last owner change was reported in 1973 - we will try to follow up to see whether the trail is still warm - although a BT directory enquiries search of the Lymington area reveals nothing.
Here is a picture of the car (copyright Alamy) taking part in a motoring trial in Devon, late 1930s

Good work!!
A Google search finds that Charles Landells was a busy Triple M enthusiast. This was taken from the Triple M Register Infoletter 37 dated Feb 1976

I bought a supercharger from Charles about 40 years ago and at that time he was living in the New Forest - not under a tree I would add, but in a house in the New Forest. I also seem to think that he entered for Pre War Prescott within the past two or three years but didn't turn up on the day. I was pleased to discover at the time that he was still around.

Colin, I'm surprised that you haven't identified the trials hill. Thought it might be Dovehay but that's in Somerset. Over to you. Kind regards, Alan |

Thank you Alan for landing me in it (mud that is - nothing more nasty than that). I did look at the picture, but I don't know the section. There just is not enough info available. I thought possibly Kipscombe or Darracott. Low number suggests a Barnstaple Trial rather than an MCC one.
Bit too busy to investigate further at present.
