Would any one know where this picture was taken. It is, I think, the late 50's with C0290 in the early ownership of Robin Gordon. Thanks David

Hi David. I cannot give the exact location but it is certainly in Scotland. Robin and his pal toured Scotland in , l think ,the late 1950s and went as far as Cape Wrath. He often mentioned how it was almost impossible to traverse the ‘wasteland’ of the north west. Hope his C is still giving you enjoyable driving. Ray. |

Incidentally, the J2 behind Robin’s C type is one he owned prior to the C and is now owner by Robin Hamblett |

On an off season trip right around Scotland some years ago, I stayed in an/the hotel in Rhiconich; the only other guest was the "local" paramedic, as he usually stayed where he ended up at the end of the day.
The only question on travel was "Are you going up, or down?" Study of the map shows there to be no other possibility. |

Hi David
I have an original print of this picture, give to me by Robin Gordon. As Ray confirms, it is indeed in Scotland but I cannot recall exactly where. I'll have a look on the reverse of the print, there may be some further details.

Well spotted, Tony. That's the Buchaille Etive Beag, just west of Kingshouse, at the top of Glencoe.
