One for the Armchair enthusiasts

Years ago I read a book. In if wa a photo and in the photo was an F Type (possibly a D of J1) and you can see the number plate.

I photocopied it.

The book was Bourne and Bred by Colin Bourne. The photo was of Silver Jubilee celebrations in 1935. The number was illegible even in the book. But somewhere that photo will survive, possibly.

Anybody else spotted it or know more?

Cheers

P

Noting the width of the backplate I’m with Wesbury as GX 732.

Colin Bourne was a pupil of Dunstable Grammar School, as was I. I have a copy of his book, the Silver Jubilee picture was taken in Dunstable High St, andI think the number plate on the MG is probably GX 752, or possibly GK.

Well GK752 would be from 1930 and GX752 would be 1932. I think we can safely say the latter date is more likely
