My wife's grandfather in earlier times (1934) on a trip around Yorkshire in an M-type Midget.

Illustrates why feeble headlamps were less of an issue then; the roads were light coloured themselves before they tarred them all.

I think that this one ends in 810, or is it 910???

VG 2910 was 2M1291; AZ 4910 was 2M1216. VG 2910 is listed on DVLA and appears in this thread with no less than John Thornley at the wheel - https://www.triple-mregister.org/forums/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=19224. But it doesn’t appear in the online Register listing. Nothing seems to be known of 2M1216/AZ 4910
