What a great period photo of four people pushing an M-type through the mud.
The.photo appeared on the MG M-Type owners Facebook page. Does the car survive, and is there anything known about the occasion/event?

Hi Reinout. Lovely photo.

Well there is a user KJ1592, real name Ian Holmes so I guess it probably does survive.

The car does indeed survive. I found the car in a dismantled state in Leek in the 1990’s. It was later sold via Richard Edmonds auctions having been fully restored. I don’t know where the car resides today. I posted the old photograph on the M type Facebook group as a point of interest. I don’t know where it was taken.

The car still is alive and well, being 2M2111 and Triple M number 2801!
Built 6th October 1930 and first registered in Kent!
