In 1936, Dutchman Willy Oosten drove a J2 in the Monte Carlo Rally. This is the only photo that I've been able to find. I'd like to make a 43rd scale model of the car and would like to learn more details and color of the car. Also, is the car still around? It had Dutch registration number G-13821 and rally number 79.

Reinout,
I’m pretty sure that this picture, or one very like it, has appeared on the Forum before although I can’t track it down. My recollection, however, is that the rear tyre was almost flat. Does anyone else recall it? There’s also a reference to it here with the same photo - http://www.basdevoogd.nl/va_0706.htm - but you’ve probably already found that.

This J2 is located in Oakland California. It seems to have been in California since the late 1940's. Art Loeser purchased the J2 in the early 1950's and is at least the 3rd known local owner. The prior two owners used the J2 in racing. The recent prior owner replaced the damaged original engine with the small Ford. The original block is still in the parts pile. Art passed away several months ago. The J2 is now cared for by his son Fred.
The J2 is known to the Register. I can't recall the chassis #, but search on Art Loeser. I do have contact info if you need.

Reinout,
Forgot to mention...
The Ford engine was replaced with a J2 engine and gearbox in the early 1960's. I 'recall' art told me Mr. Steve Dear located an engine and gearbox, rebuilt as needed and shipped to Art.

J3006 was, apparently, originally red and, from the photo above, it looks to have been Duotone.
