I have been contacted by someone who's parent owned an MG and they have a picture they would like to pass on - however car does not appear in my rather old copy of the register.!
car is BVE 75 and may be 1933......

Now that is interesting!!
BVE 75 is on the DVLA website and is a 1936 MG with a 1124 cc engine!!
The last V5C was 6 January 1984!
So it is still out there somewhere!!

I doubt if it is on a V5C Mike as they didn't come in until the mass computerisation of the records in, I think, the late 90s. A quick check on the DVLA website claims it is on a V5C but it won't be. I expect it is on a plain V5 in which case, although still being known to DVLA, it will not be on the road. It's likely to be in a barn somewhere.

“Not Taxed for on road use” is for vehicles that are on the DVLA system, but (for whom) the tax expired before SORN was introduced (31st January 1998), so are not taxed and are not required to have a SORN declaration.
SORN = Statutory Off the Road Notification

BVE 75 could be a TA (but is not known)
