I am very pleased to say I have just received the rather impressive Ashby steering wheel (right above) reproduced by Willie McKenzie. It has proved impractical to reproduce the rim in solid rubber as the original but I find the muted sheen on the rim looks very acceptable as well as feeling very strong and durable.

The Ashby wheel was a great period Delux feature along with a clock and a temperature gauge or even better, a large rev counter. Since good originals are almost impossible to find I have no hesitation in recommending this production from Willie.

That looks well, Sam. In the end I was able to acquire an original Ashby with the rubber rim which will suit my needs better.

Hello, Simon.
Were you able to solve your steering wheel quick -release issues? ( picture?)

I somehow missed all that; looks good!
