But I think it has gone to a good home, some consolation for a very disappointing Auction sale price in spite of excellent pre publicity and pole position by the rostrum! Not a good time to be selling but I have to tell myself ALX has given nearly 20 years of pleasure in some form or the other not least in the many Triple M contacts met or e-mailed over the years and the invaluable help, support and encouragement so willingly given. Yes, I spotted the auction result and thought what a good buy that must have been for someone.

When you count up the number of MMM cars for sale listed on this site, many of which have been there for some considerable time, I conclude that the attained hammer price is the inevitable consequence of supply and demand at work.

Sorry to see you go. I’ve enjoyed our exchanges of information about J2s over the years and I admire your philosophical approach. In terms of expenditure per ounce of enjoyment a J2 is hard to beat.
