I bought this photograph at a local car event in Surrey, clearly a chopped down M type with Morris 8 rear wheels. Does anybody recognize the car/event/driver?

YJ 42 is listed as 2M991, presumably changed to resemble a 12/12.

This car was built up by Dave Carson (in the 1970's I think). I don't believe it was particularly intended to look like a 12/12 .

I believe the reference to 12/12 refers to it guise in more modern times. I'm simply quoting from the Register records.

Doorless body with Brooklands screens and external exhaust? Possibly a tuned engine - certainly 12/12 type of modifications. Pity about the telescopic shock absorbers and small front wheels in the first picture, and interesting early wheels in the montage of photos. |

Why do I think it has a ford engine? Low exit of exhaust from bonnet side... |
