The two cars currently advertised in the links below have no reserve and the auction has just one day to go.
Current bid for the 2 seat NA is £8200 and the PB £3100! The NA looks to be complete but in need of a rebuild - if only I was 10 years younger.

The PB brings back fond memories, I owned that car when I was at flying college in 1971. It had a Ford engine back then but the body was complete and in good shape, it had a tonneau but no hood, when it rained I got wet. Used it most weekends to go home. It also had a fuel gauge in the tank which I believe was part of the Police specification, I see that has gone. I hope someone brings it back to life. Nick

Never mind 10 years George, at 86 I would buy the NA in a heart beat if over the pond here. Looks complete, wipe down with oily rag, get it running and enjoy. Bet it goes for a lot more money Bob |

Hi Bob, I am also 86…..!
I agree the NA looks original and might be good enough to run as an oily rag car. It is certainly good value at the current best bid.
Nick, what a coincidence that you used to own the PB. Were you tempted to make an offer?
It will be interesting to see what changes there might be in the bids for both cars.

George I only saw the car following the link to it above. I would certainly bought it if it had been for sale when I bought PA1320. I wonder what happened to the body that was on it when I owned it, all of the "foreign" running gear was attached to the original car with nuts and bolts as I had no welding gear (still living at home), so it would have been easy to remove. Of course, all the instruments were from whatever I could source at the local breakers yard and it had hydraulic brakes from a Ford (I think they were from the same vehicle as the engine and gearbox), I used the brake and clutch pedals assembly from a mini as it was all on a nice bracket which just bolted to the (plywood) firewall. On the first test drive it took me all my strength to press the clutch pedal (unmatched piston sizes). I had to buy a new clutch cylinder (very expensive) from a Lotus Cortina which had a larger bore, but the clutch was always heavy. Fun times.

The NA sold for £15,200 and the PB for £7,500. Clearly they were highly desired! |

I have been informed both cars are to be restored - I hope the NA will remain as a standard two seater.

I agree with Bob regarding the N. A restoration is understandable but I saw it as a worthy running mate of the magnificent unrestored K:
