Lo and behold, this car has surfaced again having just been sold by Nutley Sports & Prestige Cars in Nutley, East Sussex. https://nutleysports.co.uk/portfolio-posts/1935-mg-pa-2-seater/
Very little has been done by the short term owner. It has 4 new Blockleys. The wings, apron etc have been paint stripped, grey primed and left to rust again. The bonnet landing panels, rear wing stays and running board strips which were present previously, have vanished but hopefully were included in the sale.
What is quite fascinating is the car's history of which I for one, was not aware and which is described in the advert. It's a Sussex car all its life!
As it's been sold, should you be interested, probably best to have a look sooner rather than later.

An intriguing priory to fit new tyres at this stage of its journey.

Hello, Dave. Many thanks for posting your fascinating collage of photographs for us and a pleasing outcome for the Manor Garage too. Cheers, Chris |

What’s superb source of reference this would be. Now, about those seat air bags …

Well, as the first buyer seemed to keep a very low profile, let's hope this person soon surfaces and we can be kept informed of progress!

I know who acquired this PA; he's a customer of mine. We plan on doing a detailed photo documentation of the car when I'm over in the UK for Beaulieu this fall. Hopefully he'll make the photos available. My understanding is he plans on retaining as much of the original details as possible once he starts into the project.

That would be great Tom. And a long running "Progress of my Restoration" would be the icing on the cake.

Interesting that the O/S headlamp lens is flat to accept a war time blackout cover - or perhaps it just got replaced.
Great to see the garage has been restored. I couldn't tell which photos were before or after, but a Google Maps search turned up the current condition (and more great photos) and somebody has spent some money for us petrol heads to enjoy.
Here ya go, Simon, tag from a PA airbag:

That's interesting Tom. The info blurb on the Nutley site says that it was taken off the road from 1939 to '48 however, the log book records licences issued up to late 1942 so you may well be right about the mask.

Tommm,
How interesting. Not Moseley cushions but Self Controlled Air Cushion Co ones?
 Curiouser and curiouser!
