Recently I was in contact with Sean Smedley, a previous owner of my car PA1055. When he owned the car he was in contact with the first owner David Weir, and got some period photos from him. Two of the photos are of David in the car he owned prior to to PA. It appears to be an F1 or F2 and it has registration number PJ2385. If the car is still around I thought the photos could be of interest for the current owner.

PJ registration for Guildford so it's likely to have been sold through Jarvis of Wimbledon.

In the records of the North American MMM Register, F0402 is 'probably' with another owner, who I am trying to contact. I also have old contact information of Phil Smith, and will try to contact him if I don't hear from who I think is F0402's current owner.

Although not actually "Seeking information about a picture of an MG" this thread would probably fit very well under that heading. Perhaps some interesting new information will come to light?

As it turned out, and unfortunately, Phil Smith passed away a few years back, but he sold F0402 about 20 years ago. I brought the photos of F0402 to the attention of the current owner. Phil also owned F1125, which he sold 4-5 years ago.

It was interesting to see these photos and the mention of the name of David Weir as the first owner. In fact the Factory records show the first registered owner to have been N.B. Corlett of Birkenhead, Cheshire wef 29 December 1931.
Do we know when Mr Weir might have owned the car?
Current records show the present owner since July 2005 as Daniel Kirby of Virginia Beach.....

| David was the first owner of PA1055. Before the purchase of PA1055 he owned F0402. The only information I have is a note on the back of the photo (of F0402) saying this was David’s first MG. So no reason to question the records if they list someone else than David as the first owner of F0402. |
