MG Speed update 23 06 25
I owe everyone an update of results so far which I will circulate to participants as soon as the VSCC produces some after the event handicap results and I have updated the spreadsheet.
Nine of us are going to be competing at Shelsley Walsh on 6th July and to date we have 17 confirmed entries for August Prescott. There is still a widespread view that entering Prescott is difficult which is not the case. In 2024, the event was full but not in the end oversubscribed after the inevitable last minute dropouts. Now is the time to get that entry in.
We were too late to do our initial registering of the Championship with Motorsport UK for 2025 which we will do for 2026. Motorsport UK regulates competitors, events and championships. The Triple-M Register has agreed to sponsor this and pay the registration fee. The current draft rules are based closely on the VSCC rules. For 2025 we are running this as a Register Speed Cup.
Not everyone is a member of the MGCC. As the Register has agreed to pay for our championship permit in 2026 all of us will need to be members of the MGCC by then.
It has been great to see more of us out in MG's this year and to have met many of you for the first time. I look forward to seeing you at Shelsley Walsh, at Prescott - and beyond!
