This photo was found at a jumble sale in Cornwall. Does anyone know the car? Richard Le F

The condition of the nearside tyre suggests it was taken quite a few years ago!!

Nice photo, Richard. It's a Belfast car, or at least Belfast registered. Many M.G.s seem to have been registered by the main dealer in Belfast, Victor Ltd., even if the they were destined for delivery elsewhere in Northern Ireland.
Maurice, I think bald tyres were obligatory in Northern Ireland in the good old days!

Even in Wales bald tyres were an important part of early driving, and you only changed them when you could see the inner tube, so off to the scr@p yard where ten bob would buy you a similar tyre with a bit of tread on it. Petrol 4s 8p pipe tobacco 4s 4p per ounce, annual car insurance £5, weren't the 60s great!!!!! Ralph |

But are they the correct headlamps, Peter? With their fluted glass and slightly curved rims, they don't look like Rotax ones. |
